I sat my test with a friend on the same day at the same test centre. My friend received an email but I haven’t. Why not?
Over 99% of test takers are not affected, with those who were affected having been contacted via email to the email address used when registering for the IELTS test. If you have not heard from us, then your results are not affected.

Only a very small proportion of test takers have been affected - less than 1% globally of all tests administered during the period of August 2023 to September 2025. All impacted test takers have been contacted directly by IELTS at the email address they used when registering for the test.

If you have not been contacted about this issue at the email you used to register for IELTS, your result is not affected and your score is correct.
I haven’t heard from IELTS. Can I confirm my score is accurate?
All those impacted have been notified by email. If you haven’t heard from us, your score is not affected. There is no need to take any action and can be assured your score is accurate.
